The Marine Mammal Observer's Refresher Course is a correspondence course intended for experienced MMOs working in UK waters, with the aim of refreshing their knowledge. It is intended to remind MMOs of the key responsibilities of their role and to highlight any recent changes in practice.  Feedback to candidates on their performance in some aspects of the job is provided through completion of course exercises.  Post-training support is available to all refresher course candidates. This is currently the only refresher course available to MMOs.

Who can do the course?

As the refresher course is aimed at experienced MMOs there are some requirements that should be met by candidates wishing to take this course. Candidates should have attended an appropriate MMO induction training course prior to taking a refresher course and ideally should have attended their most recent training course within the last four years. Candidates should also have gained some experience as an MMO. 

Delegates receive:

• The refresher course on CD
• Course exercises on CD
• A course certificate on successful completion of the course exercises
• Post-training support available
